A Rose of Sharon
Katherine and Keith asked me to paint a Rose of Sharon (a flower that is native to Jerusalem) for them to use with their wedding invitation. It’s mentioned in the Old Testament book Song of Songs 2:1 where it reads, “I am a rose of Sharon, a lily of the valleys.” After researching what it looks like, I came up with my own version of A Rose of Sharon.
